Following our appointment by GB Taekwondo, we’ve created a dynamic brand for the 2019 World Taekwondo Championships. This includes extensive work developing a logo that embodies the energy and dynamism involved the sport of Taekwondo. Utilising the brand, we also developed a ticket sales campaign for the Championships. The campaign uses Olympic heroes such as Jade Jones and Lutalo Muhammad to inspire sports fans around the country to attend the event.
The brand for the 2019 World Taekwondo Championships was steeped in triangular elements, one that embodies Taekwondo. Using the triangle and the visual of a head kick, we developed the logo for the World Championships. Alongside this, we created a brand book as a guideline for tournament assets and usage, with a focus on colour and dynamism.
Our ticket sales campaign used our overarching brand, with additional elements to provide its own feel. Utilising powerful GB imagery of Taekwondo star athletes and a ‘fire and ice’ concept, we emphasised to the audience the emotion and passion of Taekwondo. We produced toolkits for internal roll out across digital, print and video assets.
