Working with Spartan Race UK, we developed a new digital campaign designed to drive sign-ups and participation in Spartan Races across the country. The process involved an in-depth review of Spartan’s position in the UK Obstacle Course Race (OCR) and wider mass participation market, developing insight integral to the nature of the campaign.
Highlighting Spartan’s position as the premium obstacle course race in the country, “This is the One” is designed to encourage and inspire participants of all levels to find a race near them. The theming is clear; the search for your next race, or challenge, is over. This is your challenge.
The creative campaign places the emphasis on the participant by using dramatic event photography; whilst the monolith creative device creates a vibrant and dynamic visual campaign. Alongside this, the flexibility allows a strong and direct call-to-action, ensuring Spartan Races can directly appeal to a wide range of potential participants, from first timers to OCR veterans.
